well I've had an on going battle with the dealer because I went to get my leather seat replaced under warranty and they not only put in a mismatched cover and it doesn't match the other seats, they didn't even put it on right. Well I've had to go to the dealer at least 15 times and called many more times. After the guy promised me he would get it taken care of he calls me today to say that they won't do anything except reccomend a leather conditioner which will "make it look like new". Yet I already used the conditioner they gave me and it didn't do crap.

Take it to another dealer. That is what I would and will do. You have a GM warranty(I suppose), not a One Dealer Only warranty, so that is what I would try.

Have you tried making a complaint to GM on their customer assistance line? I've heard mixed reviews of the effectiveness of this approach in solving problems, but it's worth a shot. There's usually a GM zone rep that's in the area. If you can find out when the rep will be available, you can have him/her look at it. Most of the time, they'll give you what you want. Problems with the leather seats in these cars is hardly a new issue. If you're still under warranty, it should be a no-brainer for the rep to authorize a warranty repair. If the dealer that is hassling you is the selling dealer, they would have to make a pretty strong case for legally refusing to service your car. The zone rep may be able to get you into a dealer who will fix it for you. If you don't get any satisfaction, I'd file a complaint with the local BBB and chamber of commerce in the town/city where the dealership does business. They don't like hearing complaints about businesses in the community. It's not good for the image.
I don't think you're being fussy or unreasonable if the repairs are substandard. If it's not right, it's simply not right and I don't blame you for making a stink over it.
Good luck,
Andy

well I took it to a dealership where my friend works and the service manager said he couldn't do anything about it but he gave me the number of the Bureau of automotive repair. He said this place will fine the dealership for everything they do wrong, kinda like an audit.
Also when the service manager looked at the seat he said it looked kinda loose so he grabbed it and it appears that they did not even sew the leather on its just pulled over the top like a seat cover.

God, they sure make it hard on a guy even after you pay $$XXXXXX for a car. Now I never go to the dealer for anything (I did take my GTP back to the dealer for brake work that was warrentied but thats a cool dealership) but with stories like this it makes me wonder what the hell GM is doing...
and makes me glad that my next car will be the GTS/ACR

In addition to all the good advice previous to this post you could also have one of the other dealers run the vin# of your car to show the history of warranty claims you have made. As I understand it GM requires the dealer to make an entry every time the car is brought in for service, what the complaint is, and what was done. I would attempt to get a copy of this so you can see if the dealer has done this and so you can use it when you continue the process of getting this resolved. Some states have requirements that the automaker buy back the car if there are unresolved warranty claims. I'm not sure what the exact details are in regard to this but you might see if California has a similar law. The existance of this type of law may give you some additional leverage in seeing the claims handled to your satisfaction.

When I took my Z in for the Tranny problem i had 1 month ago, Tit was on a Friday. They said it would be monday. then Tuesday. then Wednesday. Then, FINALLY, (after complaining to EVERYONE at the dealership), I got it back on Thursday! You'd think after buying 4 cars in as many years there they would treat customers better, but no.

I had damage done to my car at the dealership once too and it pissed me off the way they handled it. I always do a walkaround before I accept my car back and I spotted a scratch on the rear bumper that wasn't there when I dropped it off. When I questioned the dealer about it they said, " Oh yeah, the tech backed it out of the bay and into the wall. We looked at it and didn't see anything wrong." WTF!!!!!!!!!!!
I spotted the scratch from 10 feet away!!!!
A blind man couldn't have missed it!!!
After verbally bi$%^slapping the service writer up one side of the room and down the other, they were only too happy to fix it. Their body shop did a first rate job on the repair and boy did I check it out good. That was the last time I ever had a problem there, but Geesh, fess up if you make a mistake!!! I might not like it, but the honesty and willingness to make it right no matter what equals REPEAT BUSINESS !!!
Sometimes these guys are just plain stupid.

took it in, told them to call me when the rep. looks at it, they didn't call me. Went to pick up my car and the guy tells me they aren't gonna do anything about it, they fixed the problem with the leather wearing and thats all they are gonna do. At this point I got a little mad and started yelling and said some pretty mean things to the guy. Then they kicked me out of the dealership and I talked to an attorney that talked to the dealer and the dealer told me to take it to an upolstery shop and get it fixed and they would pay for it if the price is reasonable. Both upolstery shops I went to said the only way to go is to replace the leather on all the seats and the estimates I got were 1896.55$ 2155$
they better pay for it or they will be hearing from our attorney.
