Hello everyone I just got a nice invite from Teri and I thought I would stop by. I've got a SS on order that is scheduled to be built next week. The excitement is overwhelming! I can't sleep so I look for as much info. on Camaros as I can get. I know this may sound dumb but can someone tell me what "Chirpthird" is? Looking forward to some good times. Pray for spring! Frank

Congrats on the new SS LE! I waited 3 months for mine so I know what you mean. This is a great forum for questions and answers about our cars. There's a big get-together happening in September at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY that will hopefully involve over 1000 F-body cars! Just think how good you would look pulling in to that in your new SS LE!
Welcome to the group.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot - I think that 'chirpthird' comes from the idea of chirping your tires as you shift into third gear. But hey, I've been wrong before.

Welcome aboard!! If Teri invited you, welll, we'll take you in anyway!
Have no idea where the Chirpthird came from . Make it to Bowling Green. There will be Camaro owners from all over North America. You will see that Steve and Teri aren't the only obsessed Camaro junkies! There are lots of us. They are just worse than most.

YEA, IT'S ABOUT CHIRPING YOUR TIRES IN 3RD GEAR, I GREW UP IN THE 60S AND I HAD A 55 CHEVY W/A BUILT 327(DUNTOV 30-30 CAM,HEADS BY GRUMPY JENKINS,CARTER AFB,ETC, ALSO MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR AND I PUT OUR MONEY TOGETHER AND TRADED A MUNCIE 4SPD FOR A B&M HYDROSTICK, AND I'M TELLIN YA THAT THING WOULD CHIRP IT'S TIRES IN 3RD GEAR EVERY TIME. BEST RACE? WE BEAT A BRAND NEW 65 GTO ON BEACH BLVD HUNTINGTON BEACH CAL. BETWEEN WARNER AVE. AND AND THE 405 FREEWAY. YEA THAT WAS SOMTHIN, DEFINATELY BETTER THAN A HONDA.......
