I had several 1st last week.1st time I got to drive the Brickyard 400 35th Anniversary LE since I took delivery of it on December 29th. 1st time this car was shown and my first time I have entered an indoor car show. The car did quite well against some real nice competition and some trailer queens. I took a 1st place in class and an "Outstanding 1980 and Up" trophy! My wife was very excited! I have 2 trophies now for this car and no trophy mat to put them on ........

Thanks! I had called the dealer and the list price of the mat was $599.14! I can't talk the wife into spending that much money now!

My trophy mat and SLP 35th Anniversary car cover were stolen while my car was being used at the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race or while it was on the NHRA 50th Anniversary Tour. A new replacement trophy mat is $599.14 list! Can you believe that?

Shouldn't Chevrolet or the dealer who sold it to you be responsible for getting another one for you so you'll have a complete Anniversary package? It's not your fault those items were missing....you paid for the package. Why should you miss out on the goodies that are supposed to be with it?

The salesman wrote it down on a "vehicle shortage list" ,Like a IOU ,but when I had called to find out if he ordered the items,he told me that "I thought you were going to handle this". I never said that at all and think he found out how much the trophy mat was and decided not to pay for it.Just more runaround after the sale!

Stay on him....especially if you have it in writing! Tell him you don't want to have to call in the Fbodfather, Joey Red, the Boston Blackie, and Steve da Wrench for back up.

\ Yes I have it in writing,I have a signed copy of the "vehicle shortage list". I just think it stinks to get the cold shoulder after the sale!

is it a shortage list telling you that these items could not be provided.. just telling you they were infact missing at the point of sale.. you have to read the fine print.. i know with alot of used cars.. the dealer is not responsable for things like that. especially if you signed the bottom line knowing these items were not in the car.

This list was a list of the dealer items owed to me at time of delivery. It is a IOU from the dealer.

Sorry to hear about the missing items in your car. I know when the cars were in Indy, those items (Trohpy mat and car cover) was suppose to be removed from the car because of that reason. The car our club used (#44) did have the items in it, but only 2 of us drove the car. People will steal anything that has Camaro on it. We had 2 Camaro SS banners stolen the night before the 35th Party at IRP.
This is not to say that the items were "borrowed" when the car got to the dealership.

That is the main reason why these Brickyards were ordered by Scott without the 12 disc cd changer.Scott did mention that he thought the car cover was missing. I had no idea that the trophy mat was missing until the vehicle was delivered. That mat list for $599.14 Can you believe that?

Doug Harden and I discuss this issue last year when we were driving the 35th LE. The trohpy mat was a cool item, but the chances of someone stealing the thing at a car show or display is tremedously high. The culprit who has your trophy mat is problably the same cuss who stole our club banner at last years Street Machine Nationals.

Sometimes I wish I drove a Vega.
Doug
It sucks that someone stole these things. They probably don't even have a Camaro!
