Finally got my SLP STB installed. I ground the sharp corners off the mounts and had the STB re-powder coated. Then I made a rubber bushing to make it sit flush without the use of washers. I have ordered a peice of polyurathane to cut new bushings from to replace the rubber ones. I just used a dremel tool to carve the rubber and made cutouts for the overlapping sheet metal on the strut towers. The rubber is thick enough that the overlapping sheet metal is clear of the STB. It worked out well and if I ever decide to remove it there will be no tell tale marks on the towers.
