Hi, I'm new to the forum but if anybody can help me that would be great. I just installed a SLP airbox lid on my 2000 SS and there are gaps on the drivers & passenger (<how do you spell it) side of the airbox. Is this normal? Should it be sealed? My gas mileage has gone down by about a mile per gallon. (I thought it would increase) but performace has not suffered. Also, I installed a K&N filter w/gasket when I did the airbox. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance - John B

Do you have any way of posting pictures of the air box as it sits? The only think I can think of is the little tabs on the back of the airbox arew not seated in their slots correctly...Pics would really help...
Moving to Tech section, too.
