On the way to Bowling Green last Sept, to meet up with the whole SSOA crew, Traveling down I-65 Through Indiana, 11 at night, going top spped 132 MPH, when I noticed truckers flashing their lights at me, I checked my lights and fog lights to make sure I was not blinding anyone all OK! Then the road was opened up wide, then traffic slowed in front of me when all of the suuden in the rearview mirror I noticed bright flashing lights OHH OHH! I immediately pulled over and a very angry state policemen approached the car took my license wrote a ticket and asked me to step out of my car which I did! He Said "I was chasing you for over 15 miles", as I lloked back at his older Ford cruiser smoke billowing from under the hood, I told him "Maybe you need a faster car". He was mad he clocked me at 95 in a 65, because that was as fast as his car could go he said, and then he stated "These dam truckers kept cutting me off and swerving", lesson learned next time cars and trucks are flashing lights it means someone is after you! As I drove away I wondered if the ford was wrecked possibly blew the head gaskets! Fine was $165.00 next time I will be more careful!

if the officer had a B4C, he would have caught you a lot sooner. Kinda hard to believe that the trooper could only go 95MPH. what kind of POS was he driving? i know it was a Ford, but the New Crown Vics can go 135 or so.

They won't even come close to that speed according to the Michigan State Police web site where they tested many different vehicles. That is a big reason the state cops here would rather drive a 2 wheel drive Chevy Tahoe. The truck is quicker than the Crown Vic. Yikes...I think I'd have dropped a load when I saw his lights coming up after cruising that fast. It's nice the truckers were looking out for you, though.

I've had people coming towards me flash their lights or give me the "slow down" wave before but never anyone warning that someone was chasing me. That's too funny. Whenever I see funny braking or people acting weird around me, I automatically assume there's a cop around. Once I just got an eerie feeling, the car coming towards me was going way too slow and I just felt something was wrong. Sure enough, hiding behind some trees in someone's driveway was a cop running radar. Unfortunately, I didn't heed my instincts and ended up getting a ticket for 10 mph over. What I really hate is when you don't see them until they're right on your a**. A few weeks ago I was blasting down the right lane on the freeway at about 75-80 in a 60 (all the slow drivers were in the left two lanes) when all of a sudden there was a Sheriff right behind me. I backed off a little and figured I was busted, but he just jammed on by and then got off a few miles up the road. Must have been getting off work and didn't want the delay. Drive fast and take chances!

It's sad to hear of someone getting a ticket but also funny to hear of someone not. Years ago the wife and I were going through Arkansas doing about 75 in a 55 (limit was 55 back then) along side of another car. The radar detector goes off and I along with the other car slow down to the limit.About 2 minutes later comes a State Trooper we both look over and could clearly see the cop looking at us not knowing who to pull over . It scared the Sh** out of me not knowing it he was going to turn around,I went the linit for about 10/15 minutes then resumed my nornal speed.
Sorry about the ticket hopefully next time the truckers will block the road a little bit better .
