what does it cost to "spectate"?
what are some good places to stay?
does ssoa usually reserve a block of rooms somewhere?
do most people who come from a ways off (like texas) drive or trailer their babies?

thanx!! [Smile] [Big Grin]

Last year for the registration, dinner on Friday night and the Banquet on Saturday night was $30 per person. I don't know what the registration only cost. The T-shirts were $15 each. The Shaker Mueseum road tour that included lunch was $9 each.
We stayed at the Continental Inn across the street from the Corvette Mueseum. The SSOA had a block of rooms there. I think they do for this year also.
Alot of people from everywhere trailered their cars. I drove mine from Louisiana and I was one of the ones who drove the shortest distance.
I have my room at the Continental Inn already booked for this year. It was a great time.

A couple of us from the Toronto area are planning on returning again this year - and driving down. Rooms are booked at the Continental. I'm guessing that John and Karen from the Kitchener area will be participating again this year?

We don't use 2 spaces each. In this community
everyone respects each others ride, now if some
of those Pontiac guys show up - that's another

I'll be trailering (of course) coming out of Philly. We can join up if you want. I have a route that is the flatest. (easier to pull)

OR, I've been playing with the idea of hiring a service. If enough folks want to get in on this, if might be cost effective.

I might just buy a double enclosed, but then I would have to sell my single open and buy a new tow vehicle. GM 4500 Deisel oughta do the trick. [Wink]

We plan on getting into KY on Wednesday so we have plenty of time to say hello and get ready for SSOA Thursday. Watch for us in a blue w/white stripes '68 Camaro this year (the SS and SST will stay at home and rest...the past 2 trips across the Country have added a lot of miles).

Last year it was limited to the first 80 people, and may be that way again this year due to space availability for the place we tour to for dinner. Art will most likely be able to provide more info on that as plans solidify.

I believe Go Cart Racing is on the agenda again, so be ready to challenge Hawkeye and poSSum for some great slick track action.

I also have a few Fbodfather shirts left from last year that will be available for your collection. I'll bring them with me. If anyone wants one now, do a search on the forum for an earlier thread with details.

We've got our room booked at the Continental Inn (again, do a search for earlier threads) and looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting new faces, too.

cytruffle: We're expecting other members from TX. If you would like contact info for other TX members, I can send it to you and you can see if you can get a caravan together.

Alice and I will be there again this year. We will be travelling with Elie (as we did last year). Our room is also booked at the Continental Inn, and has been for some time.

Alice is so looking forward to seeing her Christmas present at the Museum (no it is not a new car, but she loves her C4!!)

BTW, we really enjoyed being able to participate in the SSOA day, even though we have a TA. Hope it will be okay this year too.

BTW2, our car is a 1998 Red Orange Metallic TA with a "few" suspension....improvements!!
