Didja sing "Happy Birthday" to your Camaro yesterday? On Sunday, September 29, Camaro turned 36.......the car was introduced to the public -- for sale -- on Thursday, September 29, 1966. While the press was shown the car on September 20-21, the info. was to be embargo'd until the 29th.
Bowling Green:
First, let me thank so many of you for attending a great get-together at the National Corvette Museum last weekend. While we did not hit the 1,000 mark, we came closer -- and in fact more than doubled the number of cars from last year's gathering. We even had representation from the Camaro Club of Sweden! (no excuses for next year!) I was pleased to see so many old friends, and to make new ones. I do apologize, however, if I did not get to say hello or spend time with many of you. We really had a full weekend planned and in fact, we'll reduce the number of activities for next year's gathering in order to allow for "going overtime." I also promise to 'delegate.' Please mark your calendars for the weekend of Sept 27 in 2003. We promise to fix the few problems we had. We've also asked 12 webmasters/club presidents to compile a list of what was good and what was not so good. (And we promise to fix the road tour next year!)
I'm sure most of you have read about the antics and have seen the pictures on the various websites -- and if not, log on now to see what you missed.
Again, thanks for coming to Bowling Green and we hope to see all of you next September. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002
