J.R. - My map shows two Gates BBQ's...any suggestions on which one? One is Gate's BBQ (on Brooklyn Ave) and the other is Gates & Sons BBQ (on Main St). Hmmm...might have avoid those beans or plan on driving with the windows down on Wednesday.

99 SS - CK-1 99SS 01 Hawk - SIDESHOW 99 SS - HTWLSS / STEVE DA' WRENCH 01 SS - OBSSD 02 SS - NATESS 02 SS - J.R.
- OBSSD.. I suggest the Gates on State Line.. it is right off 435 and State Line.. you could get to it easily coming into town.. and It's by where I work.. so I could meet you guys there and we could head to Liberty (about 25 minutes away) after we are done eating...
Gates is hilarious.. when you walk in the door.. they yell at the top of their lungs.. HI MAY I HELP YOU? I have to warn you.. Gates is "fast food" style.. meaning you get a tray and they lop the beef, turkey.. whatever RIGHT OFF THE SLAB while you are in line.. you get your drinks and go sit at a table.. its not fast food quality.. but it's done in traditional fast food style line.. (no tipping exists).

It sounds like our kind of place. I assume we'll drive straight there and just call J.R. at work when we are close?

6 of 'em eh? I think my software needs updating then. Ahh...so we take 435 South from the 70 and it's right there at State Line?
Here's my cell #: 503-720-1471 (I'll have free roaming and I don't think the others from Oregon do so if you need to get a hold of us, that's probably the number to call).

Sounds cool... Yeah.. the reason it probably doesnt show up is because there are SOOO many small little burbs around.. the one we are going to is in "Leawood, KS.. but you can throw a rock across the street literally into KC, MO.. laugh
you are correct.. from I-70.. 435 south.. it will start heading EAST (435 is a city loop) and then you get off at stateline.. make a left and its the first business under the bridge on your LEFT.
When you guys have better time estimates (likely the day of travel.. you can call me at work.. Teri has my contact info... I will send it to her..

Well, according to the same mapping software that doesn't show a Gate's BBQ in Leawood, KS, we'll be getting in aroun 7pm (take that for what it's worth). But, after hearing what Kansas is like to drive through, we might be doing 120mph the whole way and get there at 2pm
So there's our rough estimate. We'll of course give a call as we get close.

I need to get your new address into the SSOA database then.... Email it to me at ceteraheino@ssoa.net and I'll get it entered correctly.

I'll let Cy handle the navigation so it's all on one map and will load a copy into my computer when we leave.

Actually, the address doesn't show up on my map either. But we have our meeting place and J.R. to show us the way so I'm sure we'll be ok.
