I was wondering if anyone has encountered any serious or minor common problems with their 99 SS.

I am looking into buying a fully optioned manual tranny SS with only 5,000 miles on it.

Anything I should look for?

Do the T-Top bars crack under "spirited" driving? I know the Toyota MR2's did.

Thanks for the help guys

Luke, w have a 99 with no real problems. The center rear brake light had some problems but warranty handled that. The hood had thin paint but that also was taken care of. t-tops have had no problems but we also installed a STB. hope this helps

I have my t-tops off 90% of the time and have never had any problems. My car is hugger orange-problems: hood and spoiler DO NOT match the rest of the car. Pretty noticeable under certain light or in the sun. Paint is very thin on hood and spoiler. It chips VERY easily so beware! If you are buying a unique color (i.e. orange) the paint may not match as stated earlier. I have spoken with several hugger SS owners and all but one has the same problem.
Other than that, I have been very happy with my car for the past three years.
