Can anyone provide specifics on what's required to do this job? What disassembly is required?

Does anyone have a link to to a How-To on this stuff?

Thanks...

Do you have Headers?? They can be a female dog to change, would recomend you remove the Alt. pretty simple & quick, and go at it from the bottom, alittle easier access.....Good luck on the change over.

I haven't had to face changing the spark plugs and wires yet but I would think you may have to get them from under the car. Thats the only way I can do it on my IROC-Z and the engine compartment is bigger than my SS, so I think that is the best bet unless and I hope someone has a better idea. [Big Grin] [Cool]

Good Luck with the change. [Smile]

Good luck... I had to take mine to the shop to have it done since I don't have nearly enough time/tools to do it in the driveway (or patience for that matter, as it turns out). Anyway, the guy that did it for me said that 6 out of the 8 were fairly straight forward, but the 7th took well over 2 hours and the last one required removing many of the belt-driven accessories to get to and ended up pissing him off so much that he almost had it towed to the dealer so that THEY could do the damn thing. Ultimately it cost me the use of my car for 2 days and almost $350 (including the quad-4 platinum plugs and wires). Maybe my situation was an isolated experience, but I'm hoping to never have to deal with it again, and won't even consider doing it myself.

Good luck.
