The driver side window on my 98 SS rattles really bad. Has anyone here with this problem been able to fix it or is this just something I have to learn to live with. I know this is a common problem on these cars since the windows are so heavy.

Thanks for the quick reply Teri. I read the post and it sounds like a similar problem. My window tint is scratched off closer to the rear of the window. Is there another guide toward the back of the window?
Also, it seems my window rolls up too far. If I roll it all the way up and shut the door, it doesn't seat properly in the weather stripping at the top. It overlaps the top rubber and creates a rather large gap. I have to roll the window down an inch or so and then back up to get it to seat properly. If I just tap the down switch to roll it down a quarter to half inch it works fine but then it rattles really bad. Ever heard of something like that?

I defer to the experts of the board.......I posted those window guide pics on Steve da Wrench's behalf, so he's more able to answer your questions than I.

I'd still like to hear if anyone else has a problem with the window rolling up too far?
There should be some sort of up-stop that prevents the window from going up too high. They are usually adjustable on a non framed door glass.

Ok, put the new stabilizer on yesterday. It was a piece of cake. It only took about 20 minutes and it did solve the problem with my window rolling up too far. It's nice and quiet now. Thanks for the advice!
