We just put a set of Firestone Winterfire XL tires on our 1/2 ton 2wd delivery truck to replace the the stock "no-season" tires. Our driver's response; "Awesome!".
Take it as another endorsement for putting true winter tires on any vehicle that will see any amount of ice and snow.
