Neither. I was told by Mike at Yank that testing done by GM showed that synthetic ATF was not compatible with our transmissions in that it caused excessive slippage.

I have run the Mobil ATF for over 10,000 miles with no ill effect. I don't drag race but in my road race type events the transmission has never missed a shift or had any grinding.

Xtrooper, he has an MM6. Mobil ATF is perfectly suitable for automatic transmissons as well.

I'm with XTrooper on this one. I would stick with the recommended fluid. BTW, why are you changing the transmission fluid on an M6? According to our owner's manual you don't change the transmission fluid in a manual transmission. My '93 Camaro went 110,000 miles with the original tranny fluid and no problems from the tranny.
