They couldn't fix it!!!!!!!

They said everything is to spec, and it still does it. I even took it for the test drive with the mechanic and he even noticed.

He said that we could try different tires and I "Might" have a bad belt in one. That one tire could "pull or push" the car to the right.

Any other idea's??????

Bill

Like I posted earlier, find an independant frame shop that does not sell tires and spend $50. They won't try to BS you, it's not in their interest to do so.

If they are saying that it is a bad belt in one of the front tires .. then maybe you should move the fronts to rear .. if the problem goes away then that was it .. I doubt that is the problem .. best to follow Steve's advice and take it elsewhere.

I just had this happen to my '00 Z28! Only mine pulled to the left. It also vibrates at certain speeds. I finally took it to the Goodyear shop and they took the tire off the rim and the belts were seperating. (RSA's) They looked at the warranty card that came with the car and then prorated the tire and still want $135 for a new one that is normally $209! I am taking it BACK to the dealer and telling them what they said and demand new tires. My dad doubts that they will pull any sh*t after everything that happend with Firestone and a few Wrangler tires here latley. DEFINATLY have them check your tires. Mine were Goodyear RSA's 245/50ZR16.

Oh and the tire that is bad is the right one, making it pull to the left. BUT the left tire is worn heavily because of it.

My mom has a 1998 Monte Carlo Z 34 form dya one that seh boaugh it the alignment was out of wack, Dealer said won't do alignments till after 6000m are on car. By that time BOTH front tires were completely worn out on the outside edge. Dealer did alignment and supposedly there was a TSB on the issue. Rotated tires too. 4000m later the tires were completely worn out AGAIN!! WTF!! So took the car to Just Tires. Ailignement was WAY otu of wack even AFTER GM did an alignment!!!!!!!!! I DON:T TRUCT GM TO BE ABLE TO FIX ANYTHING. Take your car to a repuatable (sp) tire shop and have them fix it. Just tires even has a 6 month warrantee on alignments!
