... afternoon. Got about half way through by midnite ... great book on the inner workings of GM by following the C5 program from dream to delivery. Scott Settlemire recommended it as a good read to get some idea of what the "enthuasiasts" in GM are deal with in the fight to keep the Camaro alive.
So far our good friend JeffY has been mentioned twice!!

Its a good book. I read it and wondered how they even got the C5 off the ground which than led me to thinking that the present Fbod was doomed. Did you make it to the part with Cormaro's running around?

Finished reading it last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Joe, loved the Cormaros ... and the "Subarus". I guess you and I both had them testing in our back yards ... I'm about 3 1/2 hours from Grand Forks where the did the Heating calibration

I remember when there where rumors that a few C5's were up here testing. We only have 3 state Hwy's so its a little hard for them to keep 'secrets' from being seen. It was a good book and gives you an understanding of how a HUGE corporation works. After I read it I knew the Fbod as we know it was doomed.

Hey Joe ... this just in from a reliable source ...
--just thought you would want to know that there is at least one Cormaro still in existance....and it is on display at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky......for those driving thru Kentucky....or for those who are looking for a quick weekend trip....the museum is a "Must See" and is the second largest tourist attraction in Kentucky, second only to that famous distillery......

When I order my C5 Museum Delivery I will definately check that out. If the 4th gen camaro was merged with the C5 chassis/drivetrain to create a Cormaro than a 5th gen fbod should be able to share with the c5-6/Evoq and save money. But Im sure Corvette politics wont allow it.

Hey! That wasn't at the Museum when we went through in August.

Hey possum- I think Louisville Downs, where they run the Kentucky Derby is #1, Mammoth caves, which is just down the road from BG is #2 and the Vette plant in BG is #3 along with the Museum.
