get someone else to install fuel rail covers. I was installing my fuel rail covers that Eric Fahs kindly sodl me and I worked on it for about 3 hours until I gave up and figured they look good how I have them. Anyways I was putting my STB back on and I dropped the bolt. The bad thing is the bolt didn't drop to the ground. How am I supposed to get the bolt out??? I can't even see the damn thing

I did the same thing when installing my STB. I got one of those 99 cent telescoping magnet things and reached around till I grabbed. Of course it helps to know the general area where it fell too.

I jacked up the car and looked and felt around but didn't feel it or see it. I think it probably fell out and rolled away. Would it do any damage if it was still in there (say near the exhaust manifolds) and I drove the car around?

thanks I saw some little mirrors on sticks at home depot I'll pick one up tomorrow. Or i'll see if the dealer can do it since I'm going in to get the tranny fixed.

Don't DO IT! Find the screw. Last time I left the loose screw assuming it would rattle and fell off the top of the engine. Guess what? It got thru the gasket and into the cylinder header. It blew out one of my cylinder with about 2 inches of hole and the cylinder header are full of screw scar. Lucky me, my dealer is very good and they replaced my LT1 with brand-new one under warranty and told me "You dont know what happened!"
