They did not replace they repair. If you ask them to check 3rd THEY chck 3rd nada else! you have to be explicit in what you want them to check. Mine goes in Monday for 3rd again!!! Not to sure what it would take for them to swap out a tranny. It took them maybe 2 days to fix.

MY 99 M6 was rebuilt twice, and the slave replaced once. The car was never the same after the rebuilds, and consequently I ended up taking a loss on it when I traded it in. (At 14K miles)It was a fabulous car in all other regards, but I may as well have wrecked it, because when I got it back, it was no where near the same, and it drove me nuts. My advice to you is that if you have yours done, research the dealers first, and find someone who knows the T-56 like the back of their hand. Otherwise, a bad rebuild can ruin the pleasure of driving. My 2000 SS A4 is nice, but I sure miss throwing gears.... Good luck to you!
