I know some of you guys attended a driving class @ Lime Rock last fall. I was hoping that you guys could shed some light as to who organized the event and if there is another one coming up? I'm attending the class through BMWCCA and looking at the PDA one as well.

The event that some of us attended was put on through NASA. North American Sportscar Association. They run regular road races, autocrosses and high performance driving schools.
Most of the HPDS and road races are run on the same weekend and track. This way you get to see what you can advance to if youa re interested. They are not associated with another car group - but other group members come out to race/drive with us. There are no "timed" runs as this is considered a driving school. It is a lot of fun - you get at least 1 hour on track time as well as really good school time and tips. Depending on the number of instructors, you may have one each car, or you might have to double up with another car, BUT you drive your own car.
You can go to www.nasaracing.net for more information on 2001 events and locations and how to join, etc.

I plan on some suspension mods and a Loudmouth catback in the Spring to get ready. I can't wait til Winter is over. Things are a little slow with acting right now with the holidays. Yah I will check to see if Nasa holds anything at Watkins and/or Lime Rock. Again, not looking for autoxing...looking strictly for advanced driving school with on-track events (iow road racing). I attended some BMWCCA stuff and had a blast, I already am attending some of their events in the spring.
Anybody planning on doing any RR'ing at the Glen, LR, or NHIS? I may go down to Summit for mafb track day.

I hope to race at 3 of those 4 locations next year, Lime Rock, the Glen and Summit. I accompanied Grumpy and Lees Z to LR for the NASA event and would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to attend an HPDS.
I instructed for NASA most of last year and it was a ball. Join the fun.
