An uncle of mine owns a 93 Z28 and swears up and down that he could beat my 00' SS. He claims that the 93s were the last year before the emission requirements got strict and that the 93s were the most powerful production camaros. I on the other hand think he's full of it. I don't have many stats on his car other than that he had an A4, other than that he seamed to be stock. My 00' SS is a completely stock M6 (except for the skip shift cylinoid from SLP). What do you guys think? could I take him?

I had a '93 Z28 - A4 - and they were putting out 275hp at the flywheel (advertised - I never had mine dynoed).
Yes, I'm fairly certain you could take your uncle.
I sure do miss my LT1's roar though...

Trust me, No Contest! Your SS will cake walk a 93. They were 275 as opposed to our grossly under rated 320. The 93 would take some work to match the LS1.

I agree with the LS1 scenario. i say let him bet you for lets say..oh $1000.00. Then after you win, go buy some goodies for your car and go have some fun with other LS1 guys/gals!
