I was just talking to the dealership here. They said that they called SLP directly and SLP's modification time from the time they receive the car till it's modified is 4 weeks. I told them that it sounds too long but they insisted that is what SLP said. Is it true?

Hi Barry, good to hear from you!! It only takes a day or two at SLP. They turn them around very quickly. Another dealer story!! You might want to ask on the SLP board just to verify but that is what I always heard when someone asked SLP.

Hello from SLP land! Our turn around time for an SS right now would be about 1-2 days, depending on options. A base car, no Y2Y goes thru right away, a full load Y2Y may take another day. If a car gets built at Ste. Therese on Mon., we would probably get it the next day, build it that day or the next and then ship it back. the order bank for SS right now is very low. The dealer may have been adding in all the other ship time from GM to the train depot as well.

Thanks Jeff. Wow, I actually got it right!! Barry, you should check out the SLP boards anyway. SLP is great and a lot of people visit both boards. You are of course, most welcome here.
