They are now using binoculars to see if you have your seat belt on. Like they have nothing better to do. If you ask me it's an invasion of privacy, looks like I have to get my windows tinted. Yes I do waer my seat belt, and I did have it on.

I'd like to see that hold up in court. Well your honor, I saw the subject through my binoculars, and the subject was not wearing a seat belt!

Pure 1000% BS if you ask me. I don't really hate cops, but that is rediculous.

probably would hold up pretty well as long as the arresting officer is the one who saw you.

You are on a public road, which means anybody can look into anothers car. It's not like thier tapping into the computer or anything

This one is worst...

About 3 weeks ago we noticed a mysterious Mustang GT ALWAYS hanging out at the corner next to the shop... My partner and I aren't the "lightest" foot drivers and usually end up doing something stupid around the corner... Well in Dave's (My partners) 95 Blown Cobra (Vobra) he found out why that Mustang GT has always been there... It turned out to be an undercover cop, who just spared Dave of the no seatbelt ticket and illegal tints... I told Dave that he would have deserved it because he still hasn't turned away from the dark side (Vobra), but that definitely was not fun. So now we have to watch what we do all the time around here... Darn sneaky cops =)

Among other units - our locals have a 99 Navy
Z28 that is unmarked until he pulls you over, then it's lit up like a Christmas tree!!

In NY they can't have unmarked cars anymore, however they have cars with no light bar on top, they are in the grille instead!

Hey Kevin,

Not sure about the part of NY you are from but here on Long Island we have cops who have unmarked cars. We have a guy who drives around in a Ford Tauras. Also guys who have crown vis but in a different color.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I thought the cops had to pull you over for another violation to nail you for no seatbelt? I do wear my seatbelt but the idea of using binoculars is laughable.
