It is something u use on DirecTv. U "format" the card back into virgin and u will be able to view all channels as if ur testing the channels.

Back then in 93-95, those card are first generation and when people buy it, people would get all channels for free to preview until Electronic Code Meltdown, ECM, wipe away virgin code making u call directv to subscribe to the channels u like. Most dealer had a looper which allow dealer to re-virgin the card so they can continue to demo it to customer without subscribing.

But the looper has hit on the market and to prevent that from happening, DirecTV changed the card to Hu. Now with hu card, u would need to call and subscribe with no preview and u are offered some cool package such as subscribe $30 for 3 months and get the whole package of $90 for free.

Looper can be purchased for $90 to $600 depending on the package u desire to have. Example, all channels but no PPV is $90 and $600 get everything.

hope this was clear??

It is legal to sell those item. It is up to YOU how u use it. Simple as that. U can still buy it from the dealer but they run between $400-$600. Like I said, contact me if anyone want it better than that rate I mentioned.
