I flipped to it a couple of times Saturday night, but never really stayed watching it for very long. I found all of the gimmicks to be very distracting: the refs miked, the players miked, the coaches miked, yapping commentators, etc. It was difficult at times to even follow the flow of the game. Well, I satisfied my curiosity; it's doubtful I'll ever turn it on again. What was everyone else's opinion?

Xtreme Football League -- An indirect comepetor (sp?) to the NFL.
Vince McMahon of Titan sports and WWF started the new league up, with major backing coming from NBC. His reason was he tired of the way the NFL games were being played, he wanted a return of "smash mouth" football. Players get payed very low but get big rewards for winning the game. So if you pull a Neon Dion and sit out with a hurt toe, you wont make the money. a lood of good changes, but execution was pulled of poorly on the first couple of games.
Next game is sat night on nbc, and sunday on upn (and maybe another NBC)
Not my kinda stuff anymore. I lost interest in Football when the Oilers lost to Buffalo in the last few minutes of the game when they had this enormous lead I don't watch Football and that WWF stuff gets "zapped" as quick as I can when surfing channels.
