OK, here's the details.

I'm thinking about having a searchable database, you could search by Last name, year, car type, state, or city.

The database would contain the following,
First/last name
year/make/model/type(ss/z/hawk)
homepage
email
city/state
Misc for mods ect.

When you click on a state it would query the databse for all of those people in that state. As I said you would be able to search as well.

I would also link to a page that would query & show peoples names & homepages only.

Each person would be required to enter their own info into the database and when they are done, it would email me so I could see what they entered. I may password protect this feature as well to prevent abuse. So you would have to request access from me first.

I would like serious comments from people on this, no BS please. This would require a lot of work on my part, but I feel that it is worth it in the long run for me not to have to input this info. Yes I would restrict the car type to the obvious f-body's and you could add others to the misc field.

Thanks for the input.

Kevin

I think the map is great the way you have it. The only addition I'd look for is e-mail addresses.

If people give me their email, I will post them, but they must request it! (not everyone wants their email posted)

I'm also working with Brian over at the Firehawk board, he has started something similar to this.

I like it the way it is.
You might consider giving some control of what is entered to the person listed. That way they can remove themselves if they really don't want to be listed or expand on their listing without you having to maintain it as much.

I've considered that too, but I do have to keep some control.......gotta keep the riff raff out!

Most of the changes would be transparent (I hope). They will be a ways off, although I am working with Brian from the Firehawk board on this. I will update as changes take place.
