Me and my girlfriend of 3 years are going our own ways, and the computer is hers. I will prob get another someday but now it is not within the $$$$budget$$$$$ Hope that you all have a great summer, and a great show year! I have learned a ton from is site and I will be back asap! Thanks all!

Be sure to stop in at your local computer store and demo a computer.
Before I got my laptop I found I could go to Sears or Circuit City, etc. and get online, make a quick post or two on the message forum and check my Hotmail.
You can also get on at your local library (best of all, it's free).

Sorry to hear it Bill. BTW, I got an HP 600mhz, 128k ram and 8 gig drive for $250 from CompUSA with a 1 year compuserve account. There are lots of deals out there.

Sorry to hear that Bill...I'm sure that in the end all will work out for the best. Used computers are dirt cheap anymore...hopefully you can snag a 500 Mhz antique for pocket change and be back on line soon...
...in the meantime, as others mentioned, stop by the public library from time to time and pop in and say "Hi"...
