Wow Dan! I am really jealous! Maybe I can arrange another business trip out your way! I gotta see that new ride! But if we got together for dinner I wouldn't fit in the back seat of the Z06! I guess I'd have to ride in the trunk!

Hi Amy, You and Grace could take the Z06 and I would follow in the SS!! I would love to see how you two do cruisin around in the Z06. It is a great car but my SS is still my baby!! And it's still in the garage!

Hey Dan,

Nice pic of the Z06. I was wondering what color you got. Betley's has one on the showroom floor, same color. Do you have the red inserts in the seats?

Congrats, it's a beautiful ride!!

Andy - Seats are al black. Not the MOD red. I looked at a yellow one at Bentley and threw your name at them. They were unreasonable on the price or I would have bought it from them. They have no allocation so they are buying them elsewhere and then selling them. They are amazing cars.

Hey Moo and others with interest, there is a good Z06 Forum. Much like this one. There is a larger Corvette Forum that has more people and maybe a beter source for real technical information but the one I check out most is more friendly and loose like this board. Here is the URL if you are interested. Check it out. http://www.z06vette.com/phpBB/index.php

Dan,

Were they asking over sticker?? The ones I saw ( they have 2 red and 1 silver as of 4/7/01) were all for sticker. I've seen 'em put "market value" adjustments on cars before, but I've never paid it and never will. I haven't seen any Z06's around here with a mark up, so I'm guessing everyone's holding out for sticker. I hope you were treated well where you bought yours. If Betley treated you bad, I'll go in and complain because I won't recommend them if they're not going to give you a decent shake. I've bought 6 cars from them in the last 6 years and referred business on 4 others they sold. They treated me really well on my SS but I've heard of others who've said they've gotten a bad impression. I know the sales manager and he's a hot ****, but there are a couple of blowhard salesmen there that get on my nerves. If you got one of those guys, I don't blame you for walking out. I personally continue to go there because I do get really good service. I'm friends with one of the service writers and I went to school with the service manager. Plus I know about half the service techs.

Andy

Andy, I have nothing bad to say about Betley. They were nice folks. There was one guy that was giving me an obvious line of baloney but I wasnt' dealing with him. They wanted well over sticker on the yellow one. I got them down to close to sticker but still too far over for me. I don't like paying sticker never mind over sticker. They wouldn't come down to sticker so I walked. Maybe enough people like me are walking away from from prices over sticker to make them reconsider. I paid close to sticker from the place I finally got it. I got a K&N filter and a B&M ripper thrown in the deal.

Dan - Come on up anytime, I'll take you for a ride. It's only 2 hours. Hopefully, I'll be down there soon enough!

Will they let you use your GM Discount on Z06's if you are a employee or a family member?

I tried out here in SoCal and no dealer would honor the GMS or GMO on a Z06....
