Which SLP model # is it?

Has anyone used this? Did you like it?
HP gains???

Does it eliminate the existing airbox and filter assembly?

If you are asking if the Cold Air kit by SLP does away with your existing Ram Air setup. The answer is yes.

It mounts in the same location as the stock LT1 airbox but locates the filter in the area below where a stock LT1 Z28 airbox would be.

I swapped my factory Ram Air out for a K&N Cold Air kit.

I picked up quite a few tenths in the quarter mile. There was a noticeable gain. But I then sold it. Why? Cause I like the look of the factory setup better. And since I didn't race every day I figured why bother.

I don't know the SLP P# sorry. But the GMPP version is polished. Which is nicer looking in my opinion.

Good luck.

Also, you should remove the bracket that is located under the MAF. Its only on SS cars. That way the cold air assembly will sit low enough. THat bracket is used to keep the Ram Air System stable.

Take care.

ps. If you have the Factory 2 on the left cat-back (i.e. installed by SLP when it was ordered) you might want to see about getting it deconed. I had it in mine. Big difference.
