I am looking into buying a Polaris 1200 ski and need to know what ya'll have and if you have had any problems or injuries. My dad is going to co-sign but he is worried that I will get killed on it. It is not my 1st Jet Ski to go on, my freind has a '99 Polaris 1050 and it is a lot of fun. Another one of my friends is picking up his new 2001 Kawasaki 1100 ZXi this month after he has a hitch installed on his new truck.

Tell me what ya'll think about them and what models you suggest.

All the companies have 3 person skis that are equiped with fuel injection, what do you think about that?

I want either the Polaris SLX (1200) or the Polaris Genesis i (1200) Or maybe a Kawasaki 1100 ZXi like my friends new one. I had also seriously considered the Pro 1200 by Polaris but I don't know.

Look at the skis they offer and tell me which one to get. Here's some web sites.
www.polarisindustries.com www.kawasaki.com www.yamaha-motor.com www.sea-doo.com

Sea-Doo has a cool feature for kids called the learning key. the Ski comes with 2 different keys, a normal one and the one called the LK key(learning key). The LK key tells the Ski to limit RPM's to 5000RPM or 35mph so when you put a beginner or a kid on it they won't go to fast right away.

Sorry for the long post, just need some help and opinions.

Here is my boat! This thing is awesome. I just got it last year but I really like it. It is 951cc and 130 hp. The fastest I have gone is 74 mph.
I would say that the boats are pretty safe. BUT, it all depends on the driver. You have to understand that on the water you are a mere speck to the drivers of the large boats. Stay out of their way! Don't go right up behind a boat to jump their wake. You can have just as much fun by staying back and keeping a safe distance.
Anyway, I don't know much about any other models. But the Sea Doo Rx is one bad boat!
