I know that quite a few of us use Photopoint. I just got an email from them that they are going to charge me to use the service. It is pretty cheap but I don't like the idea. Any suggestions on another service?? If not, I'll have to get off my butt and get my own web site done.

Yeah, I do too.....now that I've seen how many other sites are out there, I'm reconsidering just switching over to one of those for the stuff I want to share. At least I still have all my photos on disk in a box at home.
All that uploading and caption editing time wasted..........

I don't know if anyone here is interested, but this was mentioned on CamaroZ28.Com, and this was my reply...
quote: If you guys need a place to host pics, all you gotta do is get a CZ28.Com Free Web Space account (if you don't have one already go HERE, you'll get 20 megs of space, site building tools, and more). After you get an account, just FTP in or use the utilities, create a directory for your images, and upload your images into it. Then, when you want to link to your images, use this format:
You don't have to remember the whole string of your URL to get to the pics, you can use your web browser to browse to the directory that holds the image you want to link to and just copy the address from there. Then paste it where you want to link to it. Or you can just link directly to the directory or right to your CZ28.Com site. There's a lots of ways to do it.
It's actually very easy. Cool, eh? Not to mention, we have no plans to start charging people to use it.
Like I said, I don't know if anyone is interested, but some might think that it is a nice alternatice to Photopoint. Hope this helps someone.

The only bad thing about cz28.com addresses, is when you try to post images hosted on the site in a forum such as this one, 85% of people see a red X, and only a small percent can see the image. At least with Photopoint, everyone can see the image. Here's an example: some images on my website are linked to images I store in my ssgarage.cz28.com site. I will post one here, and you guys let me know if you can see it, or if you get a red X.

It does not work when you try to post images so they load with the thread, but it does work if you post a link to the image like how I mentioned above. Actually, I didn't know this until now. Sorry about that.
This is not really a bad thing, though. Many people don't want to wait for a thread to load that takes forever because it is chock full 'o images that they don't necessarily want to see and waste the time loading. This is especially true for people with dial up accounts. I was just offering this as a suggestion for anyone who might want to use it. I wish I could say that it was the be-all, end-all solution to this, but it isn't. Hey, look at it this way, you could get get a cool web address and just post one link to your page containing all of your images. Problem solved! Okay, okay, I am done now.
