I had a chance to have an up close look at the new SSR...GM's newest "El Camino-Like" venture. It looks pretty sweet..but the best thing about it was the chrome emblem on the front quarter panel that said "GenIII V8" (a.k.a. the LS1). The thing probably weighs three-quarters of what an S-10 weighs so it should be a screamer!

My favorite thing about the one I saw was the repeating, interlocking Chevrolet Bowtie pattern cut in the tread of the tires.

Too bad those don't come on it!

Very cool for sure.
