Service Manual Update: Revised Drive Pinion Flange/Yoke and/or Oil Seal Replacement procedure. 2001 Camaro and Firebird. i wont type the whole bulletin.. and i dont have a scanner.. lets just say i think they realized the pinion seal leak was more than a casual "occurrance". make sure the dealer has this update if you go in to have one done: 01-04-20-004 is the bulletin No.
TSB: Noise/Rattle from Rear of Vehicle while Driving (oh boy.. how many have had this complaint, eh?)
Bulletin no. 01-05-23-010 Camaro's and Firebirds built prior to VIN Breakpoint 22111830
Condition may be caused by the rear backing plate bolts being under-torqued (beind the rear rotors)
go git er fixed folks.
regards, KenC

Hey Ken, I was looking for the second bulletin (# 01-05-23-010) and the computer said there is no bulletin found. (I work for a GM Dealer) That's the right # isn't it? Thanks

Yeah I'm with Dave.... can anyone post a URL to where I can obtain copies of these bulletins? I've tried a few places but I think they are either outdated, or not the right places to look. I'd like to print out copied of these bulletins and take them to the dealer to see what they can do. I've owned two late-model Camaros and both have shown the same symtoms with the rear end noise. Thanks again!
