The basement measured 22' x 15', with the alcove measuring 9' x 7'. Unfortunately, the digital camera makes the paint look a little more pink than it actually is.
This is a picture of the carpet we had installed. Everyone, now: "Ooooooooohhhhhhhh! Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!"
And here's the basement:

(Since I can't have more than 8 pictures per post, here's an extension.)
One of the goals of getting the basement finished was that I'd be able to start clearing out the garage. Which, when accomplished, will allow me to bring my SS over from where it's garaged at my parents.
This is a view of the garage from the inside. This was the only path through the garage, as everything else is packed with stuff.
Here's a view of the packed and stacked stuff!
Here's an outside picture of the new place - the truck is blocking the view of the garage.
Here's a picture of me on the right with my buddy Bill on the left, about to move the last load from the old place.

Looking good Basements. I sure miss 'em. Pesky earthquakes don't allow for them in SoCal. Posts: 547 | From: Poway, Ca | Registered: Feb 2000

Teri, no "Oooohhhh's" or "Aaaahhhh's"? I'm hurt!
Well, we've started to move some of the stuff out of the garage, but we're nowhere near being able to fit my SS in. Hopefully, once we move my filing cabinets, couch and DJ equipment, we'll have enough space for one car.
