I am planning to change the fluid in my differential but I was not sure if I need the additive. I have the Zexel differential. I know it is required for the Auburn...but do I need it since I have the Zexel?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if the 2000 are any different, but for my 99, I do put the additive in (as per the owner's manual and I do have the Zexel Torsen diff. as well)

Thanks Rock... I will check the owner's manual. I guess I should have thought of that on my own...I'm a little slow on Mondays.

Amy

When I changed mine I used a bottle of the GM additive. I have the stock Torsen. From what I read, the additive is not necessary since the stock Torsen is not a clutch type differential like the Auburn is. However, as some said, it can't hurt.

Whoever said you couldn't run away from your problems obviously wasn't driving an SS.
