Good morning ! As my first oil change approaches, I was wondering which oil you all prefer...Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec (or other?) ......THANKS!

Looks like Mobil 1 gets the nod here...but I just visited LS1Tech.com....they mostly seem to prefer the Valvoline Synthetic ... decisions, decisions....thanks for the input! Check out this discussion at LS1Tech... LS1Tech.com Oil Thread

Castrol Syntec so far, but I'm thinking of changing to Amsoil or Redline to support companies that are more into motorsports. Castrol 5-50W full synthetic. That's what came in the car from SLP and I'm sticking with it.
I started using Mobil 1 about 10 years ago and it would be my choice if the car did not come factory filled and warranteed w/ Castrol. 15k miles and no problems. I think all the full synthetics are pretty close in performance. As long as we stick with them we should never see an oil related failure.
