I started a thread on this on the SLP Board. Would love to see some feedback.

I have heard mixed reviews of Dexcool - heard its great protection for alum parts and sensors, heard it turns to sludge...not familiar with Evans....BUT....GM warranty specifically calls for Dexcool....could be an expensive experiment

I have lots of experience with dexcool, my 96 Implala had the sludge problem and it wasn't pretty. After many calls and escalations, GM finally flushed the whole thing and replaced it.

The reason I bring this up is if you're thinking of changing, make sure you get all the coolant out, or what remains will turn to sludge.
