hey everyone,

Long time no talk!!! Anyways, I have some time and I would like to share a little story with everyone about Hypertech.

To make a long story short, I had my SS serviced (instrument cluster changed - warranty - resetting trip odometer) and for some reason the dealer flashed my PCM, which obviously erased my HPP3 programming. When I got home I tried to reinstall the HPP3, but that would not work. I called up Hypertech and they told me to send it in and the would fix it ASAP, and at no charge! I sent it in, got it back in about 4 days and went to reinstall the HPP3. About halfway through the programming, my battery died! I wasn't paying attention and my headlights were on during the programming and my car had been sitting for about 3 weeks, so the battery must have been low.

Anyways, switch batteries, and nothing is happening when I try to run the HPP3. Car is dead, HPP3 is dead!!!!!!!!!!! Call up Hypertech, talk to the same guy, tell him what has happened. He says no problem, just send us your PCM and HPP3 and we will fix everything - free of charge!!! Send it back to them, 4 days later get everything back. Install everything and it is working great.

So...... what I would like to tell everyone is that Hypertech is a first class company and the employees there are very friendly and willing to help solve your problems. I was the one is screwed up by letting my battery run dead, but they helped me out.

Aren't you supposed to restore your PCM back to stock when you have the Hyper Tech? I had it with my 94 C4 and there was a note in the instructions to make sure and restore the factory settings if car was going in for service..

Thanks for the story. It's refreshing to hear of a company that goes the extra step for one of their customers. A lesson that can be learned by many other companies, for sure.

Hey, maybe it's time to make a "Post your favorite aftermarket company" thread.

I'll start with Afterthoughts Auto.

Well, I just wanted to spread the word about the great customer service at Hypertech.

With respect to putting the PCM back to stock, I figured I didn't have to because they were just changing my instrument cluster; no engine work or anything like that. I still can't figure out why they would have flashed my PCM.

poSSum, you're a funny guy. That's why I will kill you last!!!!!!!!!! HA!

Actually, I can't wait till the SLP day again so I get to see all of you guys again!!!

DanA, make sure you bring your ZO6. I want to show you what my SS can do!!!!!!!! (read your posts about what the guy said about a stock f-body and ZO6 - pretty funny stuff!!) Anyways, I will probably have either the ATI Procharger or Nitrous by then!!
