The Pontiac Solstice, Chevy Bel Air and Cadillac Cien seem to be headlining the show for GM ... I was really expecting a Camaro Concept to debut in Detroit ...
It's nice to see that the headliners are all RWD.
The Bel Air would fit a critical niche for GM ... the true 4 seater convertible ... and it's on hydroformed frame rails ... just like the 'vette Styling doesn't do anything for me ... and one of the articles I ran across said Bob Lutz didn't like it either, but there wasn't enough time to change it before the show.
If the Solstice can put up numbers to run with the S2000 in AutoX they may have a hit on their hands.

I'm not sure I like the way the styling is going - either boxy with sharp lines like the Caddy's or rounded like the Bel Air. My preference is sleek and aerodynamic. I suppose the new designs will grow on me sooner or later, but the first impressions haven't been good. Posts: 2359 | From: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada | Registered: Jul 2001

I'm really surprised to hear myslef saying this but I'm really excited by a Cadillac product. I think the Cien is very cool looking. with the exception of the headlights and Cadillac grill, and the HP just makes it all the cooler
Alot of the other products are nice looking, but feel like thier missing the finishing Touches. like bel air it looks like its missing some of the nostalgic feel. and the pontiac roadster is missing the last bit of oomph
