Thats a bunch of BS!! Charging us for pics we already own. They should just open up the site for a few days, and allow everyone to remove their photos for free, then if people want to pay to have them on there, fine. But this is blackmail to hold our own stuff over our heads for money. I think people should do a class action lawsuit. Done venting now.

I've never used PhotoPoint before so I really cant say much.

Did you have to agree to a contract before you signed up for the PhotoPoint service? That right there would tell you where the ownership of the photos lie. This move by PhotoPoint could be also considered an attempt to recover losses due to the bandwidth costs and such, but those losses are not the responsibility of the users. I mean why should the users pay for a company with a bad business model? I hope you all are able to recover your images. Good luck.

Thanks for the post Chris. I answered the survey.

I always wondered how they were able to do it for
free for so long.

It wasn't free for long....we all paid at least $9.95 for a year's worth of storage. Some people paid twice that, depending on the # of pics they had on there.
We had more than half a year of storage to go!

I also paid the $9.95. It was free the first couple of years and I didn't mind the $10.00 for
a storage site. Now, I'd just like my photos back!
