I love all this stuff. Couple of thoughts. The Sigma platform has the required independent rear. It's shorter than the current 4th Gen, but my feeling is the next one Will be shorter and lighter. One of the reasons is that the doors have to shortened to bring in more female owners. Also the styling has to be appealing to females, at least in the base model, because they have so much influence in the buying of any cars today. I also think there has to be a new-tech engine...something along the lines of the Northstar. Maybe as an option the first year. The Mustang has certainly not suffered from having an DOHC modular engine in the Cobra. I think something along the lines of one of the new Brembo brake packages would be good as an option perhaps...maybe with dual calipers, and painted red, with decals! Just some thoughts.

Well yeah Ford has suffered with the Cobra! They did not even have a 2002 and the 2001 was delayed because they had to recall almost all the 2000. Something about not making Horse Power?? Hell the 2003 has to SC just to get HP. IF they had installed a 5.4 maybe they would have been better off BUT for SOME reason they stuck with that 4.6. The only thing good about the 4.6 DHOC motor is that it looks impressive when the hood is open.. Can you imagine what a factory SC LS1 would have been!!
