I sent a banner and stand to Dan Abbene in NH so he can take it to SLP day on April 20th and pass it along to Hawkeye.
The other banner is on it's way to J.R. Mayer in MO so he can take it to some events he has coming up.
Art Schroeder already has a banner in Winnipeg, Canada. I am keeping one on the West Coast. The last one is destined for Florida. That one, and the one J.R. has can be considered as "floaters". We'll have to coordinate that with Lou Salzano and J.R. and see what works best for them depending on what shows they plan on attending this year.
I just received back some last minute verification data for our Feb/March members this morning from SLP. I printed the LofA's and sent them Priority Mail to Dave at SLP for signature. If all goes well with the mail, I'm hoping he'll be able to get them signed and back on their way to me in a week (before SLP Customer Appreciation Day starts).
As always, feel free to ask questions if you have them.

Hmmmm, I guess I thought he was. Oh well, you're going to SLP Day, aren't you? Can you set up the SSOA banner there? Are you going to the Michigan SLP Day? If so, perhaps you can pass it off to Hawkeye there. If not, I'll cover any shipping costs to get it to him. Sorry for the confusion.

I am going to the SLP day in NJ. There is none in Michigan this year. I think there is one in Ohio. I do not know if Brian is going to any of them.
I will be taking my Z06 to SLP day, but I am sure that I can find somewhere to set up the banner. I am not going ot anything else until BG this year. My turn to have be frugal (unless of course I hit the lottery or get a job)
Does Joey Red have a banner? If so, I will be with him and we can set up the banner. If not, i can send it to Brian anyway. Whatever, we'll work it out.

If you and Joey Red can take care of the banner for SLP NJ Day, we can figure out some way to get it to the next big event, depending on who is going to the next one. You can pass the torch, so to speak. I know that there's Superfest, Carlisle and a few other big shows that whoever can take the banner, set it up, and pass it along to whoever is attending the next one, etc., would be appreciated. If we have to, we can mail it to someone and I'll send a check for the shipping costs.
I also have an acrylic brochure holder (for membership apps) that goes with it, but can send it whenever we figure out who will have the banner next.

That was fast! Assembly: Slip into the top sleeve, the 5' piece with the elbow attached. Use the 5' piece with the tee along the bottom. I put a black "X" at the point that's assembled last and disassembled first (to avoid tearing the banner at the stitching). The feet have end caps and a tee attached. You can choose whether to use the long or short extensions, depending on the wind conditions. If necessary, we can cut some wind arcs in the banner if it wants to take flight. I don't know what you'll want to weight it down with. I have some long, galvanized nails/pegs that I could send you if you think drilling holes in the feet and pounding the pegs into the ground would help hold it down. Otherwise, I have used my detail box and other stuff in the car to hold it down in the past. Let me know if you think any further engineering on the stand is needed and I'll send whatever you want/need for it. Make sure when you roll it back up for storage/transport that you protect the logo with the sheet that I put in there and make sure it doesn't get flattened. The PVC stand is pretty rough on it and will mess it all up if it has direct contact w/the vinyl (or if it's creased). Replacement banners are around $200 so I want these to last a long time! Thanks for getting it to SLP day....if it's a tight fit in your car, perhaps someone else in the caravan might have room in their trailer?

No worries, I'll take care of it. Seems funny hauling the SSOA banner in the trunk of a Z06 don't it? Posts: 5946 | From: Litchfield, NH, USA | Registered: Feb 2000
