G'morning!

Took the SS out for it's first run of the season yesterday. Every year, the first drive in the SS is just like driving a brand new car (without the new car payments).

Have a great day.

Mornin' all, had a great weekend here! obSSd helped me install our new Dynojet dyno on friday and we put lots of runs on it on saturday (I think about 50+ between three cars!).

Heading to Redding CA thursday for Kool April Nites, hope the weather will be nice.

Hope everybody has a great week.

So much for a morning check in...
Believe it or not, helping Steve install the dyno was a lot of fun...not to mention running our cars on it. 6000 pounds is a lot of dyno to drop into a hole and square up but it went surprisingly well. By 10:00 Friday night, we had my car strapped down and made a test run before returning home for some zzzz's. We were back at it early Saturday, making about 15 runs with my car in 5 different configurations to see what gains each mod gives. I'm happy to say the combined gain of all my mods is 15-20HP and 10-15 lb-ft of torque.

We made 26 runs with Steve's '69, trying to find the best A/F ratio and timing for that beastly 502. Steve was really hoping for 450rwhp but he grudgingly settled for a best of 445 and 512 lb-ft of torque

Nate showed up just as Steve was backing my car off from it's last dyno run and they made a few passes with Nate's car while I reinstalled my SLP Y-Pipe. Even running excessively rich (A/F ratio dropped into the 10:1 range), Nate's managed 311rwhp with just the loudmouth installed. He's bummed out but once that ratio gets back up to mid 11's or 12, I'm sure he'll be happy with his numbers.

Did I forget anything?

yeah i guess 311rwhp is not that bad for my car running as rich as it did. need to take care of that problem ASAP. cant afford to fill up my tank so often.

btw, has anyone else experienced problems with their car running rich? my A/F ratio dropped to 10:1 (very low). and my average gas milage is 14-15 per gallon. Steve thinks it might be the MAF sensor. just want to get this taken care of.

DaddySS - if it's clean that's nice but the important thing is that you make it. We understand how busy you have been!! It will be great just to see everyone.
