was the Heads Up Display that is on the Corvettes ever offered as an option on the Camaro?
A guy in my local club swears that he has a friend with a 2000 Camaro with a factory HUD. I did not think that it was available in the Camaro.

It was not Amy. I know this because there was a thread on LS1.com about what it would take to put one in a Camaro. Besides it having a special windsheild, the windsheild has to be at a certain angle for it to work. I think the HUD was in the Vette and Monte Carlo as far as Chevy's go. I know you can get it in a Grand Prix and a Bonneville for the Pontiacs.

Ditto! Just yesterday I was thinking of posting a "Where's Amy?" thread...you must have read my mind.

Oh, Sizzle is right about the HUD.

Though it was never a factory option on the Camaro, Lingenfelter Performance does offer a similar HUD unit as an aftermarket add-on.

Check out their website for more info:
http://www.lingenfelter.com/

Click on the "View LPE's New 2002 Catalog" link towards the bottom of the page. This will launch a PDF file, the HUD unit is on page 42. I've never seen the actual Corvette unit in person, so I don't know how it compares. Good luck!

Ditto, I was worried about Amy too. I know that her company is having some issues and was afraid she had joined my club. You don't want ot be in this one.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was pretty sure that it was never offered in the Camaros. I just needed a little extra fire power!
Also, thanks for all the concerns. I am staying very busy at work right now. We have had quite a number of layoffs recently but the work load has not dropped off. So now we are all very busy.
I have missed the post for birthdays the past two months!!!
I'll try to drop in more often. And I am planning to make the trip to Bowling Green! And my Mom and Dad are coming with me!
