Has anyone experienced the A/C air getting warm while under WOT? It's a scorcher here today ( Humidex 45 deg. Celcius plus )and had the A/C on. Noticed that at WOT, the vent air gets warm. Does anyone know what causes this? Not a biggie for me but am just curious as to why it happens.

TIA!

Yep...A/C shuts off at WOT, under the assumption you want maximum power.

That is normal! GM has been doing that since 1980 with the A/C systems!

What if your not at WOT? Say your are just pulling up a low grade or something. My 93' Lumina all but quits blowing under these conditions.

The A/C system is tied into the TPS and the ECM. Some cars will do this so the engine is not lugging under load.

Why not, if the computer turns it off for you?
