BBQ'd mine on Saturday. I've searched most of the boards; Z28, LS1TECH, SLP, this one ... I've e-mailed SLP and TByrne, and I'm still no closer to knowing which route to take.
I'm looking for something that will be near stock docile on the street and be able to handle 4.10's and drag radials behind a stock LS1.
I will also need complete install information ... i.e. will I need (or should I use) a new master and slave cylinder, shims, flywheel, etc.
What are the pros/cons of using a lighter flywheel on the street, strip and autoX?
I was hoping to get it done before Bowling Green, but it's not looking too good right now.

Hi Art. We put a McCloud in ours, and have been happy with it. Good pedal pressure, good feel, working good so far. I dont think I would go with the lightweight aluminum flywheel unless you put in a scattershield. If you use the new flywheel that comes with the clutch, you can use the shim that they list (in the clutch kit), and it works fine. As far as the hydraulics, we didnt replace ours (yet), but I would recommend drilling out the restriction in the line to help out with your clutch durability. Steve.

There used to be a clutch engineer from GM that posted once in a while on the SLP board. As I recall he suggested the Corvette stock clutch from the Z06 as a replacement for the stock LS1 clutch. He acutally had the part numbers etc.
I think I saved it on my home P.C. I'll check for tonight.
