Bummer, not what I want to see the day before I head to the track. I won't push past my limits.

Ouch - could be a bit of trouble, most insurance policies exclude damage caused during racing or tests of speed. Hope he had a special rider added on. Posts: 5558 | From: Windsor, Ontario. Canada | Registered: Feb 2000

<sniff, sniff> That was such a sweet car, Kyle. But thankfully it's also a safe car and you came out of it ok. Best of luck with the insurance and getting your mod investments out of it.

Thanks for the condolences, guys. I haven't posted over here in a while, so thanks to HTWLSS for pointing me in this direction.
DanA_F99_1977 : I don't know how much track experience you have, but you probably know this already: It's usually not the new guys that crash. It's usually people like me with some experience under there belt that keep pushing it to shave off another second or two. Good luck at the track and be safe!
NATESS : As much as I love my Camaro, if it's totaled, I'll probably get a 'Vette next. I've already casually mentioned the Z06 to my wife and she hasn't smacked me yet. Good sign!
Hawkeye : I've been totally truthful with the insurance company. I was at a driving school and lost control of my vehicle. The subject of racing never came up. So far, so good...
MaryandRalph : It really was a wild ride! It just seemed to take forever and I was so sure I'd be injured. I felt like a million bucks when I jumped out of that car unscathed!
The car is in the body shop now. They called me on Friday and said they were up to $11K and that they were going to open her up today and finish the estimate. I should now tomorrow whether my car will be fixed or totaled.

Understood Kyle!! I have just enough to make me dangerous. I am very thankful that you are ok. Stuff happens and as long as you are allright, I am sure you will work out the rest. I know that your problem is a wake up call for guys like us that get confident in our ability and look for just a litttttle more out of each corner. I certainly was thinking of you last week.
Again, I am very thankful that you are ok and I always pray for everyone going to the track that God will keep them safe!!
Best of luck to you. Get a Z06, you'll love it!!
