Recently purchased an STB by BMR. How tight can I tighten the nuts? Obviously a tork wrench would be too much. I'm using a basic 15 MM wrench. Can I damage the firewall at all?

Thanks

I would imagine that the torque would be the same as the upper strut mount nut torque in the service manual. [Smile]

Torque them to 32 ft-lbs. You shouldn't really be anywhere near the firewall, so I don't understand that part of the question.

If you don't already have a torque wrench, go ahead and buy one. You'll need it anyhow to torque the wheel nuts to 100 ft-lb when you rotate the tires. If you don't, your rotors will warp for sure!
