Does anyone out there have a Colgan bra for their SS? I had a bear of a time getting the hood piece all the way on then noticed the straps are supposed to hook into holes near the back of the hood (circle #1 in the picture). Maybe I was smoking something, but I didn't find any such holes so I'm assuming they only exist in the base and Z/28 hoods.
I've been in contact with them over the past few days and just got a reply today, suggesting I "have an after market hood, that is why the attachments don't correspond."
Can anyone else verify whether or not their SS hood has a hole in Colgan's suggested location?

I have the Colgan bra for my SS and I use the small holes right next to the hood hinge toward the center. I believe there are also some right on the hood hinge itself that work fine too. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

I might have to look into that. Hole #3 looks like the best bet to me, but the strap is much too long for that.
Joey, I bought mine from http://www.exoticwooddash.com. They had the best price I could find. I also bought Colgan's mirror covers.

Get the Camaro bra from GM...it fits perfectly and has the Camaro logo embossed on the front.

What'd you do? Shorten the strap? I thought about doing that, but Colgan said it'd void the warranty.
Teri, I'm one step ahead of ya...I ordered it directly from the manufacturer this morning (http://www.carbras.com). Their order form had an option for a bra without the license plate opening Posts: 1143 | From: Portland, OR | Registered: Nov 2001

lol...I hadn't noticed that link before...those dopes. The only difference I saw between your GM car bra and the Perfect Fit bra I had for my '98 was the logo, so I'm assuming it's the same manufacturer.

No, the strap is like elastic and I stretch it and hook it in the #3 hole with ease.

Hmph...mine's like the picture above...a long nylon strap with only a few inches of elastic cord at the end.

I have a CoverCraft bra. I use #2 hole. I had mine on for two days when I went to Camaro SuperFest in MI and did not leave any marks. I had a local shop make a stencil of CAMARO SS and splay painted it on the front of the bra.

Anybody consider/look into getting a group purchase on car Bra's?? I'm sure a lot of us (me too) have been thinking about getting one for the trip to Bowling Green? In any case, from experience, ...which is the best fitting, best quality made? ...or are they pretty much the same?? and what about price?? Lot's of questions, ...but curious...
Thanks, Kevin
