Today I went to the Corvette Heritage Tour that is in town and was making small talk with Mr. Smith. He said that GM had sent a Cease and Desist order to Bragg-Smith some time last Month. He did not know what happend just that someone in GM was ticked off. Mr Smith said that GM is now backing Justin Bell.

What exactly does the "Cease and Desist" order apply to? Rupert can obviously continue to run the school just the way it is. I assume he would simply have to quit promoting that it is a Chevrolet sponored operation.
And, of course, losing the backing of GM might have impact on getting new cars every year...
Anyone have any more info?

There is no cease and desist order. There is no reason for one. While we have chosen not to renew our contract, it should not be construed that there is a problem between GM and Bragg-Smith. Bragg-smith has a very great comprehensive Performance Driving program, a great track, and super instructors....and I for one, wish him all the best.

Thanks Fbodfather, that threw a different light on the subject. I am glad there is no conflict. I wonder if Bragg-smith will continue to teach with the Corvette?

I'm bet not having anymore f-bodies to supply B-S might have had something to do with the decision.
