On my way to work this morning. Every day I drive by the building I used to work at, which is about 1/4 mile from where I used to live ( mom's house ). The building now houses an armored car company. Out front this morning I see a hoard of local police officers lugging M-16 rifles. Hope it was just a respons time drill, but I stopped at mom's anyway and suggested she take an alternate route to work!

most likely those were AR-15's, not M-16's. they are pretty much identical just looking at them. they are now becoming standard issue for police instead of the shot guns. but as for so many of them being out front.... .
